Exploration, excitement, experiences. This is what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course offers. You do not need to be "advanced" to take it - it is designed to advance your dive, so you can start right after you get your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your diving skills with different adventure dives. You try different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI instructor. You record dives and develop abilities as you find new ways to enjoy scuba diving.
Who should take this course?
PADI Open Water divers (Junior) aged at least 12 years old are ready to register for an Advanced Open Water Diver course.
What will you learn?
You will plan your learning journey with your instructor by choosing from a long list of adventure dives. There are two dives required - Deep and Underwater - and you choose the other three for a total of five dives.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you will learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper diving. Scuba diving adventure navigation refines your compass navigation skills and helps you navigate better using kick-cycles, visual cues and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get will vary depending on your interest and the adventures you have - photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, wreck exploration and many more.
