To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

 

What will you learn?

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

*Price in this package ($275 USD) doesn't include the eLearning PADI fee. You can purchase it directly from PADI or as an add-on when you book for the course. We will then assign you a code in the PADI ELearning program.  The fee for the ELearning module is $185 USD.

 

Every student needs to have a logbook and a dive proof watch with dive planning device (table or eRDMPL). Logbook and eRDMPL are included in eLearning OWD Crew pack we have for sale.

 

Dive computer is considered as both watch and dive planning device. We have a limited number of them for rent.

 

*Rental of all needed scuba equipment is included in price of this course

*Theory is not included in this course. You must do your theory before the course. You can inquire at info@marinabluehaiti.com for a theory on site or do it online. You can purchase it at padi.com or add it as an add-on when registering into the course. We will then send you the code via e-mail.

*The PADI Open water crew pack is not included in the practical part of this course and is necessary to complete this activity. It can be added as add-on when purchasing this course.

Day 1

8:30-9:00 Student arrives, checks in (vouchers must be provided to Marina Blue before course starts), paperwork (please do bring an ID photo of you)

9:00-10:00 Knowledge review (e.g. First half hour: 20-30 questions w/test, second half hour: review answers)

10:00-10:30 Equipment setup training

10:30-12:00 1st session of confined water skills (shore or swimming pool)

12.00-13.00 Break (opportunity for a light lunch)

13.00-14.30 2nd session of confined water skills (shore or swimming pool)

14.30-15.00 Swim Test

15:00-16.00 1st open water dive

 

Day 2 

8:30-10:00 2nd open water dive

11:00-12:30 3rd open water dive

14:00-15:00 4th open water dive

15.30 - 16.00: Check out

 

PLEASE NOTE YOU HAVE TO HAVE A REASONABLY GOOD SWIMMING SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COURSE AND THIS WILL BE TESTED
